We proudly executed the Installation first-ever Gas Insulated Transformers (GIT) installation project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

This complex project was uniquely challenging due to its location in one of the most restricted and sensitive areas of Makkah, requiring exceptional coordination, planning, and adherence to strict regulatory, safety, and logistical constraints.

We successfully carried out the complete rewinding of the rotor using existing copper. This complex task required a high level of technical skill and precision to ensure performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
By reusing the existing copper, we maintained the rotor’s original design integrity while delivering a sustainable and high-quality solution that meets project specifications.

The project included disassembly, inspection, and testing of all components. A new set of coils was manufactured at our state-of-the-art coil production facility, ensuring precision and quality. This high-capacity motor was restored to deliver reliable, long-term operation, affirming our ability to handle large synchronous motor repairs up to 30,000 HP.

We executed onsite stator re-wedging of a steam turbine generator rated at 510,000 KVA, 24,000 V, and 3600 rpm. The work was carried out at one of SEC power plants using specialized tools and precision instruments.
This critical maintenance activity was performed with high accuracy to ensure long-term reliability and performance of the generator, minimizing downtime and maintaining operational excellence.

The project scope entailed the replacement of a 960 MVA transformer, which included dismantling the faulty unit and transporting a new transformer from Shuqaiq to Jeddah.
Some logistical challenges were faced, and our dedicated team worked around the clock (24/7) to ensure the seamless installation of the new transformer. The project scope covered all associated works, including cable testing, GIB work, and the protection system.
